A bit about Dr. Deanna:

Dr. Deanna Holdren graduated from Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine and is a board certified family practice physician. Today she practices in the area of Functional Medicine, specializing in nutritional healing, bioidentical hormone balance, whole body detoxification, and the reversal of inflammation within the body.

She has a book – Dr. Deanna’s Healing Handbook – a podcast, Ask Dr. Deanna, and she also happens to be a very dear family friend of mine and someone I look up to a lot!

We talked about so many things. I asked these questions below. Give it a glance, so you know what to look forward to from our conversation!

  • How has your nutrition helped you balance the many commitments you have from running your own practice to being a parent (and much more!)?
  • Introduce us to your family and tell us some of the nuggets you’ve learned that have helped you balance so many things.
  • What are some of the most common ways you find people are able to successfully manage or minimize their anxiety?
  • Something else you teach about is the importance of avoiding gluten as well as the issue of glyphosate. What is the main issue with glyphosate and why should we avoid gluten if we want optimal health and longevity?
  • If you could fix one thing in young women’s health lives what would it be?
  • What are you currently or recently reading?

I hope you enjoy her words of wisdom as much as I did! If anything, it gave me such great food for thought to continue learning more as I walk my own health journey.

Of course, none of this is intended as medical advice, but is a valuable perspective nonetheless!

Gut health has a huge impact on anxiety and overall mental health.
